Training students to be veterinarians or find work in their chosen profession, with a proven record in graduate employment.

Our graduates find work in veterinary hospitals, civil service, and research institutions
Our graduates work in a wide range of fields, making the most of their veterinary qualifications. More than half of the students become veterinary doctors with the aim of opening a hospital of their own in the future. Many of our graduates also work as public servants in of meat hygiene, livestock hygiene, and animal protection. Others work for companies and research institutions, go on to graduate school, or become resident doctors at university hospitals.

Acquiring the Problem-Solving Skills Applicable to a Wide Range of Fields
Students can expect to find employment not only in animal-related fields like zoos, farms, pet food, and laboratory animal-related companies, but they can also work in industrial areas that enrich people's lives, such as reproductive medicine, pharmaceuticals, and the food industry. Careers include environmental consultants who conduct surveys of flora and fauna and analyze the environment; greening and landscaping workers involved in rooftop greening and park development; information workers who collect and analyze environmental data; and construction-related jobs in the field of regional environmental engineering. Many also go on to graduate school and become researchers who contribute to the development of advanced technology.

Animal Health Inspector

Animal health inspectors are local government employees and licensed veterinarians who manage the health of livestock such as bovine, horses, and swine.
Rabies Vaccination Administrator

Rabies vaccination administrators are responsible for handling animals in the event of a rabies outbreak and providing guidance on the management of farmed animals.
Meat Hygiene Inspector

Meat hygiene inspectors determine whether bovine and swine being slaughtered are safe to eat.
Food Hygiene Inspector

Food hygiene inspectors examine whether the notified food is legal based on the Food Sanitation Law.
Poultry Inspector

These inspectors examine poultry for disease and their suitability for food use.
Environmental Health Office

Environmental health officers strive to ensure a hygienic environment by monitoring and providing health guidance for public places.
First-Class Radiation Protection Supervisor

This national qualification is required of persons who supervise the prevention of radiation hazards and oversee the safe use of radiation. First-class radiation protection supervisors are required in veterinary hospitals where advanced medical treatments such as radiotherapy and nuclear medicine are performed.
Veterinarian
At the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, students can qualify to take the national veterinary examination. Students can become veterinarians by obtaining their veterinary licenses and practicing after graduation.

Livestock Artificial Insemination Technician (Cattle, Swine)
Intra- and In-Vitro Egg Transplants
This is an essential qualification to work as a specialist in cattle and pig artificial insemination and cattle embryo transfer. These courses are capped at 30 seats for the artificial insemination course and 10 seats for the fertilized egg transplantation course.
Food Sanitation Inspector
Appointment Qualifications
Food sanitation inspectors are civil servants appointed by the Ministry of Health, Labor, and Welfare or local governments. These technicians are experts in checking the safety of imported food products, monitoring and guiding food manufacturing and processing industries, restaurants, etc.
Food Hygiene Inspector
Appointment Qualifications
In food manufacturing and processing facilities, hygiene management by food sanitation supervisors is mandatory for products that require permits, such as meat, powdered milk, fish-meat sausage, and edible oils and fats.
Feed Production Manager
Appointment Qualifications
Feed production managers specialize in managing the production of animal feed. When manufacturing feeds and other products containing antimicrobial additives, these technicians ensure that established regulations preventing the use of harmful additives are followed and provide guidance on the production and storage of feeds and feed additives.
Senior High School Teacher
First-class license (Science)
Students can obtain a senior high school type 1 teacher certification (science) by taking the designated courses.

Type 1 Certification (Science)*
Students can obtain a Type 1 Junior High School Teacher Certification (Science) by taking the designated courses.

Assistant Surveyor/Surveyor
Qualifications as a surveyor are not only useful in civil engineering and construction but also for companies involved in greening and environmental conservation and civil servants involved in regional planning and agricultural infrastructure development.
Civil Engineering Construction Management Engineer
Supervising engineers prepare plans, oversee operations, and manage safety at civil engineering worksites, such as river, road, and bridge projects, and are closely involved in creating an environment for biological production.
Assistant Natural Regeneration Practitioner
Regeneration practitioners have the fundamental knowledge required for understanding how to promote natural regeneration.
Trainee Engineer (Assistant Professional Engineer)
This national qualification is equivalent to passing the first Professional Engineer examination and certifies one’s proficiency and advanced knowledge of science and technology, preparing one to become an assistant professional engineer.
Senior High School Teacher
